Help normalize connection spots at everyday places

Create a MingleSpace (for places)

  • Every place should have a space to mingle. If you manage a cafe, brewery, market, campus, library, museum, gym, airport, festival, or any public venue, you can make it part of your place. Start here.

  • MingleSpaces fit naturally into a place’s daily rhythm—no RSVP, no staffing, just an open spot where people can say hi.

Spread the word (for supporters)

Have a place in mind?

  • Download the Flyer  – email it or drop it off.

  • Share the sign files – point them to minglespace.org/create so they can make a free account and get the signs.

  • A friendly ask from a regular can really help.

Suggest a place or connect us

  • Share ideas for where a MingleSpace could work — local spots, organizations, or public spaces.

  • If you know someone who manages one, a quick introduction goes a long way.

Try it out (for community organizers)

Help a venue experience the idea — or host a temporary pop-up to spark curiosity.

  • Table Chat (low-key demo)

    • Bring a printed sign to a café, brewery, or similar spot for an hour (ask staff first).
Think of it as a live example — a way to show how a MingleSpace works in real life. If staff are curious, offer to leave the sign for a short trial.

  • Pop-Up (markets & events)

    • Coordinate with event organizers first. Set up an A-frame, easel, or banner using our files.

    • Invite passers-by to chat and scan the prompts. Tag @mingle_space and we’ll boost it.

  • Pop-ups are temporary and rely on a host being present — they’re for demonstrating the idea, not running an ongoing MingleSpace. Permanent MingleSpaces are created and maintained by the places themselves.

Partner with us (organizations)

Help us grow a national network of connection spots. We team up with civic groups, tourism bureaus, nonprofits, and event producers to add MingleSpaces across the places they already influence.

Help us grow

Your contribution keeps MingleSpace growing—covering everything from printing signs to spreading the word. Support us here

We believe places can lead the way in making connection easier — with dedicated spaces that invite people to say hi and interact.

We believe opportunities to connect should be part of everyday life — not limited to special events.

We believe spontaneous conversations can build trust between strangers, spark ideas, and strengthen communities.
